OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MAY 23, 2026–The undefeated Fall Classic, a 2-year-old Missouri-bred gelding, and the fastest qualifier for both nights of trials has been made the 5-2 morning-line favorite in Oklahoma’s richest race on Saturday, May 30, the Grade 1, $1,158,940 Heritage Place Futurity for juvenile American Quarter Horses going 350 yards. The race is the headliner on the final night of the Remington Park season.

Fall Classic, a son of Cyber Monday, out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Lady Bellaqua, broke his maiden at Remington Park on March 22 and raised some eyebrows, winning by 1-1/4 lengths. So, it was no surprise to see him return for the Heritage Place Futurity trials on May 8. He had the fastest time of the night on that night with a strong tailwind in :17.517 and drew away to win by daylight again, the margin 1-1/4 lengths. Fall Classic was ridden by Christian Cardenas in both wins and will once again get the call for the big race.

The impressive gelding is trained by James Gonzales III and is owned by Christopher Villatoro of Crandall, Texas. He was bred by Jim Streelman and Bill Dale and was a $47,000 purchase from the Heritage Place September Yearling Sale of 2025 in Oklahoma City. He has earned $22,215 in two starts, but stands to make a fistful of money from his next race.
