PHOENIX, AZ–April 28, 2026—The Saturday morning card at Turf Paradise kicks off with energy and anticipation as a ten-race program begins at 11:25 AM, immediately placing the spotlight on the sport’s rising stars. The opening two races will feature the $17,800 AQRA Open Presidents Spring Futurity Consolation and the $56,430 AQRA Open Presidents Spring Futurity Final, both showcasing juveniles who emerged from the April 8th trial heats and now return with something to prove on racing’s bigger stage.
The feature event, the $56,430 AQRA Open Presidents Spring Futurity Final, will be contested at 300 yards and brings together the fastest young talent from the trials, though the field is reduced to nine runners after Eg Funder scratched early. With speed, inexperience, and raw talent all colliding, the race shapes up as a thrilling dash where every stride will matter.
Annes Dynasty commands attention as the 2-1 morning line favorite after posting the fastest qualifying time of the day. The filly delivered a powerful performance in her trial, drawing clear by one and a quarter length in a determined finish that stamped her as the one to beat. Now, she returns looking to carry that same authority into the final, building on her early experience and proving she belongs at the top level.
The Arizona homebred filly races for Jose Antonio De Santiago and is sired by Fdd Dynasty out of the Apollitical Jess mare Republic Anne. Trainer Alex J. Torres-Casas sends her out from post eight with Francisco Zamora back aboard, a combination that will look to replicate their winning formula under heightened pressure.
Fire On the Mtn stands as a serious challenger at 3-1 morning line odds after also capturing her trial in a tightly contested finish. She showed grit and determination, edging clear by a neck in a hard-fought duel, and enters the final with momentum and confidence. Owned by J Lazy Six Racing, the Utah-bred filly was a $45,000 purchase from the Heritage Place Sale and continues to show promise with each start.
By Corona Cartel and out of the Walk Thru Fire mare Lady Perry On Fire, Fire On the Mtn will break from post four under jockey Kevin Carbajal for trainer David John Williams. Her ability to respond under pressure makes her a formidable threat as the field prepares to break.
Earlier on the card, the $17,800 AQRA Open Presidents Spring Futurity Consolation offers another competitive look at the division, featuring the next ten fastest qualifiers from the trials. Guns N' Roses enters as the 5-2 morning line favorite, seeking redemption after a troubled trip in his trial where he was bumped at the break and later disqualified to seventh. Prior to that effort, he showed promise with a strong maiden performance, and a clean start could make all the difference this time around.
Owned and bred in Arizona by Ralph and Carolyn Fales, the colt is by Fdd Dynasty out of the Good Reason Sa mare Heart an Soul. Trainer Matthew M. Fales will saddle him from post three with Gabriel Medrano taking over the reins, a change that could help unlock his full potential.
With lightly raced juveniles stepping into the spotlight, the stakes are high and the possibilities wide open. These young runners bring a mix of raw speed, developing talent, and untapped potential, setting the tone for an exciting day of racing where futures begin to take shape and new stars emerge before an eager Turf Paradise crowd.
