OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–April 1, 2026—Story continued from a stacked Saturday card at Remington Park, the evening will conclude with the RG2 $75,000 Mr Jet Moore Stakes, a 350-yard test featuring Oklahoma-bred three-year-olds and upward, set as race twelve with an approximate post time of 10:57 PM. See related article for the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Derby and Oaks trials earlier on the card.
Headlining the field is 5-2 morning line favorite Hooked N Gone, the reigning 2025 AQHA Champion Aged Gelding and Champion Aged Horse. The accomplished six-year-old comes into the race off a dominant championship campaign that included victories in the G1 Debbie Schauf Remington Park Invitational Championship and the G2 Prairie Meadows Championship Challenge. With eight career wins and earnings of $816,631, he brings both class and proven closing power into this short-distance test.
The Oklahoma-bred homebred, owned by Regina Laymon, is sired by Pyc Paint Your Wagon and out of Pretty Girl Kate by Pretty Boy Perry. Trainer Victor Ibarra will saddle the standout from post two with jockey Jesus Ayala aboard as he looks to add another graded victory to an already decorated résumé.
A serious challenger emerges in Hard to Politic, who enters off a strong runner-up finish in the RG2 Mighty Deck Stakes on opening weekend at Remington Park. Despite drifting out during the race, the gelding finished with determination, showing a late surge that suggests added distance could work in his favor. Now a winner with earnings of $285,558, he continues to progress as a four-year-old.
Sired by Apollitical Jess and out of Hardtoget by Foose, Hard to Politic was bred in Oklahoma by Louis A. Malechek, III, and is owned and trained by Samuel Mendoza. He will break from post three under the guidance of leading rider Juan Pulido, adding further strength to his chances.
The remainder of the field adds depth and competitiveness to the finale, including Apolitical Time from post one, Imaginacion in post four, Hes Cubas B in post five, Venetian Cowgirl from post six, Curls Magic Wagon in post seven, Mystic Paint in post eight, and Wyn Or Lews breaking from the outside in post nine.
With nine accomplished runners set to load, the Mr Jet Moore Stakes provides a fitting conclusion to a weekend filled with Oklahoma-bred excellence, where champions return, contenders rise, and every stride down the 350-yard stretch carries the weight of proven talent and emerging opportunity.
The races at Remington Park can be watched on Q-Racing Video.
