MEXICO CITY, MEX–NOVEMBER 14, 2025—The Sunday program at Hipódromo de las Américas features seven races, capped by the $16,864 Cesar Pedero Anaya Classic for Mexico-bred two-year-olds who were maidens at the time of nomination. The 330-yard dash will close out the card as the evening’s main event.
Br Misil has been installed as the 5-2 morning-line favorite. The colt brings four career starts into the race and recently broke his maiden after three straight runner-up efforts, boosting his earnings to $6,018 for Cuadra Bronco Rider.
He is by Jess Lips and out of No Moon Too Soon, a daughter of First Down Dash, and was bred in Mexico by Maximiliano Pérez Castañeda. Trainer Octavio Iván Becerra Águila will send him out from the outside post 8 with Arturo Vega Moreno aboard.
On the opposite end of the gate, Se Wave Runner draws the rail in post 1 and is listed at 3-1. The Wave Carver colt has made four starts, finishing second and third, and has earned $4,860 for Cuadra Santa Elena.
He is out of Jessa Runner, by Mr Jess Perry, and was bred in Mexico by Joaquín Ramón Peláez-Cortés. Trainer José Gustavo Tapio Fernández will again give the riding assignment to Alejandro Gómez Diaz.
A full field of eight Mexico-bred juveniles will head to the gate at approximately 18:20 on Sunday for the 330-yard running of the Cesar Pedero Anaya Classic.
