Patty Wagon Train has been installed as the 2-1 morning-line favorite for the $25,000 French Quarters Stakes at Delta Downs on Thursday.

VINTON, LA–August 5, 2025–Thursday evening at Delta Downs, the spotlight turns to the distaff division as a field of nine accomplished fillies and mares lines up for the $25,000 Guaranteed French Quarters Stakes.

Covering 330 yards in race eight, with a scheduled post time of approximately 9:05 PM (CDT), this high-stakes dash promises explosive speed and a thrilling finish under the lights.

The race’s entry preference was determined by lifetime earnings, assembling a stacked field of veteran talent and stakes-proven speed.

Installed as the 2-1 morning line favorite, the seasoned and consistent Patty Wagon Train headlines the field from post six. The five-year-old mare, sired by Bp Wagon Train and out of Pattymegone (by Game Patriot), was bred in Louisiana by Steven P. Miller.

A multiple stakes winner, Patty Wagon Train boasts a decorated résumé of 9 wins, 4 seconds, and 4 thirds from her 28 lifetime starts, with career earnings of $209,810. Trained by Orlando Orozco and ridden by Arturo Alvarez, she’ll look to notch another black-type win and give her connections a strong start to the meet.

Trying to steal the show is the in-form Rogue Fast Dash, who enters off back-to-back victories, including a commanding win in the $50,000 Flashy Hemp Stakes on July 12. The four-year-old is sired by Heza Fast Dash out of Miss Jess Rogue by Mr Jess Perry, and was bred in Louisiana by Robicheaux Ranch and Triple M.

Now a stakes winner, Rogue Fast Dash has earned $161,457 for owner Archie T. McKinnon. Ismael Solis-Guevara trains her and will be guided by top jockey Juan Francisco Garcia, Jr., from a favorable outside draw. She'll be tough to deny with momentum and class on her side.

This year’s edition of the French Quarters Stakes draws an outstanding group, each with something to prove in this short, sharp test of speed.
