FARMINGTON, NM–MAY 22, 2025–A field of ten promising 2-year-olds will line up on Saturday at SunRay Park to run the $75,000-added Four Corners Futurity.
The 350-yard feature, carded as the 11th race of the day, is set for a 5:25 p.m. MT post time and brings together a field of precocious runners looking to stake their claim on the juvenile racing season.
Ring A Ling Ding, runner-up qualifier and finalist in the Grade 2 West Texas Futurity, has been installed as the morning line favorite at odds of 3-1. The gelding enters off a length victory in his trial and has won three of his four lifetime starts, banking $30,225.
Bred from Pa Cha Ching and out of the Kiss My Hocks mare Kiss On the Horizon, Ring A Ling Ding will break from the rail under jockey Alfredo Sigala. Tony E. Sedillo trains him for owners Cherie, Kenneth L., and Cade Wallin.
Fastest qualifier, Swift D Swyft, is the 7-2 second choice. The Uncle D-sired filly turned in a powerful 2 ¼-length trial win in just her second career outing, rebounding from a third-place finish in her debut in the Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Futurity trials on April 5. She is owned by Katie Larson and trained by Clinton Crawford. Jacob Enriquez has the return call from post five. Swift D Swyft has earned $4,595 heading into Saturday’s final.
Rc Asticos Kitten enters as the 9-2 third choice on the morning line after winning her trial by a half-length in a late duel, earning the third fastest qualifying time. The daughter of Astico, out of the Apollitical Jess mare Apollitical Kitten, has been remarkably consistent, never finishing off the board in three career starts. She has earned $7,765 for owners RC Racing, LLC, who also bred the filly in Texas. Jorge A. Morales-Flores train her and will be ridden by Omar Iturralde from post seven.
Other competitors in the field include Powerful Knockout, Royal Belleza D, Bv Mexican Foose, Jac Knife, Good Grief, Cowboy Corona 123, and Use of Force. All will go to post to pursue a victory with prestige and a winner’s share of the $75,000-added purse.
Live coverage of the Four Corners Futurity and the full SunRay Park card will be available on Q-Racing Video.com.
