Kickin Famous is entered in the Los Alamitos $13,300 feature allowance on Sunday.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA–APRIL 4, 2025–Clanfield Act Stables’ Special Two Corona was all the rage as he entered his fourth career start following impressive back-to-back wins. A third win in a row was not to come. Instead, the lightly raced horse finished out of the money, a bump on the road towards his rise to stardom.

Special Two Corona will look to get back on track in Sunday’s main event at Los Alamitos, a $13,300 allowance at 300 yards. Facing the son of Two Corona Special will be his toughest test yet, a field that will include Jose Flores, Robyn Gordon, and Ricardo Rodriguez’s Kickin Famous, who raced in three graded derbies last year.

Kickin Famous finished fourth in both the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Winter Derby and Grade 2 Golden State Derby. He also competed in the Grade 2 El Primero Del Ano Derby and Town Policy. He was third to the outstanding Cattail Cove in his 2025 debut on February 16.

This field will also include Governor’s Cup Derby finalist Winners Share plus Mr Favorite Jess, LJ Lucky 7, and Noon It Is.

Nine races are on tap with the average field size being 7.6 horses per race. Of the nine races, seven of them will have fields of seven horses or more. The card will also include the return of Heather’s Heathen, who is the track record holder at 2 ½ furlongs.

 He’ll be in action at that distance in race number four while taking on former track record holder Vermeer and the solid Storm D’Oro.  

The Sergio Morfin-trained Full Moon Grazen, who posted an 11-length victory at Santa Anita on March 17, will be in action in the fifth race on the card. Armando Aguilar will ride.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
