PHOENIX, AZ–FEBRUARY 25, 2024–Twenty-nine 3-year-olds, led by Jimenas Ranch's Dashin Hocks, are entered in Thursday's 350-yard AQRA President's Open Spring Derby trials at Turf Paradise.

The 10 fastest qualifiers from Thursday's three heats will meet in the March 21, $30,000-added final.

Dashin Hocks is a gelded son of Kiss My Hocks trained by Angel Hernandez Dominguez, and he's coming off of a juvenile campaign during which he won the November 25, 350-yard Turkey Time Stakes at Lone Star Park and ran second, a nose behind winner PYC Legacy, in the 300-yard, $533,000 Oklahoma Futurity (G2) at Remington Park.

Dashin Hocks was a $115,000 purchase at the 2022 Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City.

Dashin Hocks drew post 10 and will be ridden by Ruben Lozano in the third trial.

Other prominent 3-year-olds entered in Thursday's trials include You Cant Drive 95, a stakes-winning daughter of You Drive I Fly trained by Leonel Gonzalez for owner J Lazy Six Racing. A $25,000 buy at the '22 Heritage Place Yearling Sale, the filly scored a three-quarter length win in last year's 300-yard, $79,000 Desert Classic Futurity R at Turf Paradise.

You Cant Drive 95 drew the rail post and will be ridden by Armando Viramontes in the second heat.
