BOSSIER CITY, LA–FEBRUARY 5, 2024–John T. Sargent's Patty Wagon Train, a stakes-winning daughter of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon stallion BP Wagon Train, is one of 10 state-bred distaffers entered in Thursday's 330-yard, $30,000 Billy Montgomery Stakes (R) at Louisiana Downs.

Patty Wagon Train will be shortening in distance off of her third-place finish, 2 1/4 lengths behind winner Moonin Rusty, in the December 16, 400-yard Louisiana Champions Day Derby (RG2) at Evangeline Downs. The mare earned $78,890 from eight races last season, and her four wins included a 1 1/4-length victory in the September 2, 330-yard Audubon Stakes (R) at Delta Downs.

Patty Wagon Train drew post 4 and will be ridden by David Alvarez for trainer Orlando Orozco.

Other contenders include LRH Heart Of Glass, a 5-year-old Five Bar Cartel mare trained by Francisco Campos Sr. for owner Carlos Campos. LRH Heart Of Glass is coming off of a 2023 season during which she put together a four-race win streak that included victories in the 330-yard, $60,000 Flashy Hemp Stakes (R), and the 400-yard, 50,000 Mid-City Stakes (R), both at Delta Downs.

LRH Heart Of Glass drew post 10 and will be ridden by Arturo Alvarez.
