The 2023 TQHA Yearling Sale catalog is now available on line.

ELGIN, TX–JUNE 7, 2023–The 2023 TQHA Annual Yearling Sale catalog is now available online.

The annul sale to be held July 28-29 at the Exposition Hall at The Freeman in San Antonio, Texas. The 2023 sale will offer 414 accredited Texas-bred's compared to 357 cataloged last year.

Start time for both days will be 10:00 a.m. (CDT). A consigners and buyers BBQ will be held Thursday, July 27th at 4:00 p.m. (CDT).

"A very strong looking sale for this year," TQHA Director of Racing Scott Sherwood said. "A record number of horses will be offered and the quality looks to be outstanding."

All yearlings passing through the sale ring are eligible for the 2024 $200,000-added TQHA Sale Futurity (RG1). 

“Somewhere in one of the stalls at the Freeman on July 28th or 29th is going to be a horse that is guaranteed to win a Restrcited Grace 1 race that will have a likely purse of over $600,000,” Sherwood says.

Also this year the TQHA will be auctioning off breeding's to six stallions prior to the start of each day's session. Three breedings will be auctioned off on Friday and three on Saturday.

Breedings to Bolt Of Fire, Chilitos, Dulce Sin Tacha, Flying Cowboy 123, One Fabulous Eagle and This Is An Eagle will be offered. Funds raised from this auction will go to the TQHA PAC. Details of the auction will be included in the catalog.
