VINTON, LA—APRIL 22, 2015—Jetblackdash, a graded stakes placed son of Jet Black Patriot racing for Eva Soto Ugarte, will make his next start in Saturday’s 330-yard Louisiana Breeders’ Laddie Futurity (RG2) trials at Delta Downs.
Jet Black Dash has earned $34,850 from two races. Trained by Juan Saucedo, the gelding is coming off of a third-place finish, one length behind winner Magic Black Jack, in the 300-yard, $301,000 Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) at Louisiana Downs.
Jetblackdash drew post 9 and will be ridden by Eleazar Hernandez in the eighth of 14 trials.
Other noteworthy state-bred 2-year-old colts and geldings entered in Saturday’s trials include Streakin Bye U, a gelded son of Heza Fast Dash racing for Guerras Racing Stable and trained by Octavio Saenz Jr. Streakin Bye U ran sixth in the Mardi Gras Futurity. The gelding will be ridden by Saul Ramirez Jr. from post 6 in the first heat.
The Laddie Futurity trials have drawn a total of 133 entries. The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $75,000-added final on May 16.
