GRAND PRAIRIE, TX–OCTOBER 19, 2023–Donald Friesen's A Legacy Of Tales, a homebred son of Wagon Tales trained by Stacy Charette-Hill, will put his five-race win streak on the line in Saturday's 400-yard, $150,000 Adequan Derby Challenge Championship (G3) for 3-year-olds at Lone Star Park.

A Legacy Of Tales is coming off of a Prairie Meadows meet during which he won all five of his starts, including the 400-yard, $44,000 Adequan Prairie Meadows Derby Challenge on August 18, and the 400-yard, $113,000 Altoona Derby on September 29. The Oklahoma-bred bay gelding drew post 7 and will be ridden by Cristian Esqueda.

Other contenders include Cheri Wardell's Leading Flare, a homebred son of Flare For Ivory trained by Wes Giles. Leading Flare won two of his three starts during the Ruidoso Downs summer meet, including the 400-yard, $65,000 Adequan Ruidoso Derby Challenge on August 19.

Leading Flare drew post 4 and will be ridden by Alan Hernandez.
