Remember Me Rose Becomes All-Time Leading Dam

AMARILLO, TX–NOVEMBER 10, 2022–The 18-year-old mare Remember Me Rose has become the sport of American Quarter Horse racing’s all-time leading dam by money earned.

Remember Me Rose has produced 21 winners from 29 race starters.

Her starters have accumulated earnings of $4,838,276, pushing her past the previous all-time leading dam,
Runaway Wave, whose progeny have earned $4,349,799. Runaway Wave has held the record for the past seven years.

Remember Me Rose is a Dam of Distinction who has produced Grade 1 winners Powerful Favorite ($1,199,000), Runforyourlife ($620,822), Bomb Cyclone ($1,326,791) and Cyber Monday ($528,428); as well as twice Grade 1-placed Cyber Attack ($368,582).

Remember Me Rose was bred by MLA International Co. of Stigler, Oklahoma, and she is owned by Dr. Steve Burns of Menifee, California.
Her sire,
Corona Cartel, is a member of the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame. She is out of the Zevi (TB) mare Im Moonlighting, and a half sister to the Grade 2 winner MLA Rodeorose ($131,890).

She won nine of 18 career starts as a racehorse, earning $820,895 on the track.

She began her career in Mexico, winning the 2006 Mexico Juvenile Challenge before appearing in the United States to run second in Big Time Effort’s Rainbow Futurity (G1).

She then qualified to and ran fifth in the All American Futurity (G1), then won the Juvenile Challenge Championship (G2) and Southwest Juvenile Championship. She clipped off a win in the Sunland Park Winter Futurity (G2) and won the Ruidoso Derby (G1). She was then second in the Texas Classic Derby (G1) and Championship at Sunland Park (G1). In her final two starts, she lit the board in the 2008 Leo Stakes (G1) and Sooner State Stakes (RG1).
