One Sweet Duck with jockey Juan Rivas returns to the winner's circle following their win in the $30,000 Isawssugarbear Fillies & Mares Stakes at Sweetwater Downs Sunday.

ROCK SPRINGS, WY—AUGUST 16, 2026—One Sweet Duck took command early and held off a late-closing Jess a Dash Of Class by a half-length Sunday to win the $30,000 Isawssugarbear Fillies & Mares Stakes at Sweetwater Downs.

Ridden by Juan Rivas for trainer Stan Young, One Sweet Duck completed the 350 yards in 17.365, earning a 97 speed index over a fast racing surface. The 6-year-old mare broke alertly, took command and held safely to the wire.

The victory was worth $15,000 and increased One Sweet Duck's career earnings to $174,783. Her record now stands at 12 wins, four seconds and three thirds from 33 starts. She has also won the Evanston Stakes, Virginia Hyland Stakes and La Pacifica Handicap.

Owner-breeder Lex A. Fabrizio bred the sorrel mare in Utah from the One Sweet Jess daughter Duck Dash N Go, by Coronas Fast Dash. One Sweet Duck was a $55,000 RNA at the 2021 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

Jess A Dash Of Class closed well late to finish a half-length behind the winner and earn $7,500 for owner Lori Nebeker. The 4-year-old daughter of Jess Paint Me improved her career earnings record to $239,179.

Jose Olivo rode Jess A Dash Of Class for trainer Kylie Valenzuela. Bred in Wyoming by Ron and Laurie Moosman, the sorrel filly is out of Steffiesclassic Dash, by Winners Version. Her stakes victories include the WABRA Wyoming Bred Futurity, Wyoming Bred Derby, KC Carden Wyoming Bred Derby and 307HR Wyoming Bred Classic.

Fdd Teller Mrl finished a nose behind Jess A Dash Of Class in third and earned $3,000 for owners Raymond Lee Taylor and Brenda Taylor. The effort was the first black-type placing for the 4-year-old filly. Aram Martinez rode Fdd Teller Mrl for trainer James Goodnight.

Bred in Oklahoma by Haras Portofino, she is by Fdd Dynasty from Tell Brenda, by Teller Cartel. Fdd Teller Mrl has earnings of $46,717.

Completing the field were Moonys Lil Flicka, Flybyby, Woman in Gold, Milagro Lady, Lil Rider, Teller June and M E Flying Cowgirl.
