Fastest qualifier Tahitis French Kiss and jockey Fernando Fonseca-Soto score a half-length victory in the $60,700 Mile High Futurity at Arapahoe Park on August 16.

AURORA, CO–AUGUST 16, 2026–Fastest qualifier Tahitis French Kiss delivered as the favorite Sunday afternoon at Arapahoe Park, scoring a half-length victory in the $60,700 Mile High Futurity.

Ridden by Fernando Fonseca-Soto, Tahitis French Kiss broke sharply from post two and led throughout the 400-yard final. The 2-year-old filly stopped the clock in :20.438, earning an 84 speed index over a good, sealed racing surface.

Tahitis French Kiss is a homebred for owner and breeder Francisco Cornejo and is trained by Haley Hobbs. The Colorado-bred daughter of Kiss My Hocks is out of the Wave Carver mare Tahiti Wave.

The filly entered the July 31 trials following a runner-up finish in the Cherry Creek Futurity before posting the fastest qualifying time for Sunday's final. The $24,280 winner's share boosted her career earnings to $61,825, while improving her record to 7-4-2-0.

Rr Illegal Cash finished second under Edwin Escobedo for owner 5280 BG Racing LLC and trainer Fernando Manriquez. The gelding broke outward before turning in a game effort, finishing a half-length behind the winner in :20.525.

Bred by Mason King, Rr Illegal Cash is a $33,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate. He is by Jess Fire Me and out of stakes winner Conquering Marie, by Coronado Cartel. He now has a record of 5-1-1-1 with earnings of $31,946.

County Line Capo crossed the wire third under Adrian Morales for owner La Despedida Racing LLC and trainer Edy Arturo Ontiveros. He battled throughout to finish a neck behind Rr Illegal Cash.

Bred by Duane Murphy, County Line Capo is by Capo De Capi and out of the Inseperable mare Mallory Mae. He now owns a record of 6-1-0-2 with earnings of $25,467. Earlier this season, he was a finalist in the Grade 3 Laico Bird Stakes.

Jess Easter Candy, Bye Bye Monday, Mucho Carino, Cowboy In Flight, Last Regard, Ar First Pretty Boy and Ta Ka Ta Ka completed the order of finish.
