Er Innocent Party posted the fastest qualifying time from nine trials for the $30,000-added Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity at Wyoming Downs on July 23.

EVANSTON, WY–JULY 23, 2026–Nine trials were contested Thursday at Wyoming Downs to determine the 10 finalists for the $30,000-added Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity. The final is scheduled for August 8 at Wyoming Downs.

Er Innocent Party posted the fastest qualifying time after winning the fourth trial in :16.655 for a 99 speed index under Luis A. Valenzuela. The homebred gelding is owned and trained by Ross Brown in partnership with breeder Elsha McGarry.

Sired by Hes Innocent and out of the Pappasito mare Pappas Party, he improved his record to 3-2-0-1 with earnings of $27,422. The gelding entered the trials off a third-place finish in the 307 Horse Racing Wyoming Bred Futurity.

Dashn Steffie secured the second-fastest qualifying time after dominating the third trial under Armando Viramontes in :16.741, earning a 96 speed index. Trained by Kylie Valenzuela for Bar 3 Quarter Horses, the filly was bred by Ron and Laurie Moosman.

She is by Jr Dynasty Mountain and out of the Maknmoves mare Steffies Dashn Moves. After finishing fifth in the 307 Horse Racing Wyoming Bred Futurity, she now owns a record of 3-2-0-0 with earnings of $20,297.

Jlm Maggieslastdance claimed the third-fastest qualifying spot by winning the sixth trial in :16.750 under Jacob Cardenas. Owned by Lana Matt and trained by Jess Matt, the gelding was bred by Walter Larson.

He is sired by Eagle Deluxe and out of the The Down Side mare Rambling Maggie. A finalist in the 307 Horse Racing Wyoming Bred Futurity, he improved his record to 4-2-1-0 with earnings of $18,023.
