Jess The Train and jockey O. Hernandez hold off a late challenge to win the US$15,405 All Canadian Derby on July 18 at Century Mile.

EDMONTON, CAN–JULY 18, 2026–Jess The Train edged away late to capture the US$15,405 All Canadian Derby on July 18 at Century Mile. Ridden by O. Hernandez, the brown filly races for Commotion Creek Contracting and WT Ranches, Ltd., is trained by Buckey Stockwell, and was bred by Bob McClure.

The daughter of Freighttrain B out of the Feature Mr Jess mare Jess Ballin The Jack covered 350 yards in :17.638, earning a 102 speed index. The $6,991 winner's share of the purse increased her earnings to $22,579 while improving her record to three wins and one third from seven starts.

Jess The Train entered the race off a finalist effort in the Century Mile Derby Challenge Stakes. Earlier this season she finished third in the Horsemen's Division 1 Derby, while at two she was fourth in both the Albuquerque Juvenile Stakes and the Grade 3 Canada Cup Futurity.

Lethal N Rojo finished second under Alexander Marti for owner Jane Leech and trainer William Leech. The filly, by Lethal N First and out of the Sizzlin Red Corona mare Erica Rae, stopped the timer in :17.660 for a 101 speed index.

Her three-race winning streak came to an end after victories in each of her previous three starts, including the Horsemen's Division 1 Derby in May. She now has earnings of $18,373.

She My Dulce Girl rallied to finish third under Daniel Tavares for owner Ralph Danard and trainer Misael Moreno.

Bred by Tami Mai, the filly is by Dulce Sin Tacha and out of the Jet Black Patriot mare Cash Cartel Patriot. She completed the 350 yards in :17.757, earning a 97 speed index.

She now owns a record of two wins, one second, and two thirds from six starts with earnings of $17,862. Earlier in her career, she finished third in the Sale Stakes Futurity.

Hot Cerveza, O Sawyer, Wagon Burner 109, The Greek Freek, and One Tough Cerveza completed the order of finish.
