VINTON, LA—JULY 11, 2026—Mamma Im Leaving You stamped herself as one of Louisiana's top sophomore fillies with a commanding 1¼-length victory in Saturday's $113,427 Delta Downs Louisiana Bred Oaks, covering 400 yards in 19.828 while earning a 97 speed index over a fast track.
Sent off as the 9-10 favorite, the bay daughter of multiple stakes sire Coronas Leaving You out of Mamma Jamma Jamma, by Apollitical Jess, broke sharply under jockey Noe Castaneda and was never seriously threatened, drawing away through the lane to score with complete authority.
Bred in Louisiana by Wiggins Acres LLC, the filly races for Jeantile Deville and is trained by Jose Lopez. A $33,000 purchase from the 2024 LQHBA Yearling Sale, Mamma Im Leaving You earned $56,714 for the victory.

After the race, Castaneda credited the filly's determination for the performance.
"She had a little try. You just have to let her be," Castaneda said. "She had an issue at Heritage, and that caused her a bad race. She overcame all of the little issues she had and proved it."
Lopez said he recognized the filly's talent from the moment she entered his barn.
"Since day one, we got her from the sale, she's been so special. She gives more than what you ask of her. I just feel blessed to have her as a trainer. She's just one of a kind; she gives you everything. I want to thank my entire team, the owners, and all of our supporters. I want to dedicate this win to my father-in-law, who passed away recently, and to my family. Thank God we are here."
Winner of the Mardi Gras Oaks(RG3) earlier this season and a finalist in the Heritage Place Oaks(G2), Mamma Im Leaving You has won seven of 13 career starts and banked $262,379.
Two-time stakes winner Marcy Train B rallied late to secure second by a neck over Smokeshow V. The sorrel daughter of world champion sire Freighttrain B out of Jessbye Marcy, by Mr Jess Perry, was bred in Louisiana by Grant Farms LLC and races for Jaime Cardenas, who purchased her for $41,000 at the 2024 LQHBA Yearling Sale.
Trained by Josue Ponce and ridden by Jorge Garcia, Marcy Train B earned $19,283 for her runner-up finish. Winner of the Lassie Futurity (RG2) and the LQHBA Sale Debutante Stakes last year, Marcy Train B picked up $19,283 for the effort, pushing her earnings to $246,525.
Another neck back in third was Smokeshow V, a gray filly by Gold Heart Eagle V out of McM On Thin Ice, by Heza Fast Dash. Bred by Bayou Stirling Equine LLC, she races for Blackmon Quarter Horses, LLC, is trained by Larry Keith, and was ridden by Leonardo Rodriguez.
A $58,000 graduate of the 2024 LQHBA Yearling Sale, Smokeshow V collected $11,343. Third in the Mardi Gras Oaks (RG3) last March, she has earned $50,343.
Completing the field were Apollitcal Heart V, Margarita Tlc, Stratosfaction, Jess Another Mornin, Geaux Aspen Rose, and Fdd Pilot. Louisiana Linda was scratched after qualifying for the Oaks.
