Jess Seaside and jockey Kody Kellenberger race to a 1¼-length victory in the $10,000 North Dakota Horse Park Mixed Futurity on July 10 at North Dakota Horse Park.

FARGO, ND–JULY 10, 2026–Jess Seaside and jockey Kody Kellenberger captured the $10,000 North Dakota Horse Park Mixed Futurity on July 10 at North Dakota Horse Park. The 300-yard futurity was open to 2-year-old Quarter Horses, Paints, and Appaloosas, though the five-horse field consisted entirely of Quarter Horses.

Breaking sharply from the outside post, Jess Seaside was away well and quickly established command before extending her advantage to a 1¼-length victory. The gray filly stopped the clock in 16.073 seconds.

Trained by Robert Johnson for Double Down Racing, Jess Seaside was bred in Louisiana by Grant Farms LLC and sold for $32,000 at the Heritage Place Yearling Sale. The filly is sired by champion and champion sire Mr Jess Perry and out of the stakes-placed First Down Dash mare Seaside, a full sister to World Champion Wave Carver ($1,005,946) and three-time champion Ocean Runaway ($1,642,498).

Her second dam, Runaway Wave, was honored as both a Dam of Distinction and AQHA Broodmare of the Year. The victory improved Jess Seaside's record to 4-2-0-0 and the $5,000 winner's share of the purse increased her earnings to $8,588.

Bhr Winning Streak finished second under Scott Bethke. Also trained by Robert Johnson, the filly races for Double H Quarter Horses LLC and was bred by Broken Heart Ranch.

The daughter of Streakin Executive and the First Down Dash mare Bhr Miss Jessie Winz earned her first career runner-up finish while stopping the timer in 16.338 seconds. Her record now stands at 4-0-1-0 with earnings of $2,850.

Jes A Darling completed the trifecta under Ramon Gutierrez for owners Megan and Brandon Sinclair. Trained by Mark Allery and bred by Page Mollman, the filly is by VF Corona Smashed and out of the Bigtime Favorite mare Jes A Favorite.

After stumbling at the start, Jes A Darling rallied gamely along the inside to finish third in 16.397 seconds. She now owns a record of 4-1-0-3 with earnings of $4,515.

Bodacious Fast Prize finished fourth after being outpaced early, while Lethal Rita completed the order of finish after making a late outside advance.
