Lil Pollys Train Rallies Late to deny Stablemate Billys High Returns in $284,950 307HR Wyoming Bred

EVANSTON, WY–JUNE 27, 2026–Longshot Lil Pollys Train unleashed a late burst to upset the field with a blanket finish in the $284,950 307HR Wyoming Bred Quarter Horse Futurity on Saturday at Wyoming Downs.

Under jockey Juan Pulido, the gray filly covered the 300 yards in :15.275 seconds while posting an impressive 108 speed index into a 16 mph crosswind. She got up in the final strides to defeat Billys High Returns by a head, returning $15.60 to win at 7-1 odds while earning the $142,475 winner's share of the purse.

Lil Pollys Train broke her maiden in her trial while recording the ninth-fastest qualifying time and returned to the finals to win her first career stakes race. She is conditioned by Josh Taylor.

The daughter of Freighttrain B picked up her second win from three lifetime starts and increased her earnings to $148,201. Owned and bred in Wyoming by Bill Doenz, Lil Pollys Train is out of the Apollitical Jess mare Political Bedlam.

Billys High Returns fought for the lead throughout but came up just short at the wire. David Alvarez, Jr. guided the sorrel filly to a 107 speed index after stopping the clock in :15.286 seconds.

Owned and bred by Bill Doenz and she is also trained by Josh Taylor. The daughter of Kiss My Hocks is out of Love My High Returns by High Rate of Return. Billys High Returns has one win and one second from two starts with earnings of $45,493.

Post-time favorite and fastest qualifier Er Innocent Party dead-heated for third after just missing the top two. Kevin Carbajal rode the gelding for owners/breeders Elsha McGarry and Ross Brown, who also trains him.

Er Innocent Party now has one win and one third from two starts with earnings of $26,971 after collecting $21,372 for the dead-heat finish. The son of Hes Innocent is out of Pappas Party by Pappasito.

Feature Mr Roger also dead-heated for third following a game effort under Cesar Moreno. The gelding races for owner Lucero Dominguez and trainer Uriel Dominguez.

Bred in Wyoming by Uriel and Calli Dominguez, the son of Legyndary is out of Feature Ms Bunny by Feature Mr Jess. Feature Mr Roger also has one win and one third from two starts with earnings of $26,971 after earning $21,371 for his share of third.

Dashn Steffie finished fifth, followed by Jlm Maggieslastdance, Paint Me Time, Pappas Jojo, Ds Flicka J, and Eskimo Joe.
