BELCOURT, ND—JUNE 20, 2026—Slew To Be Famous battled throughout the running before edging clear late to win the $14,500 Coca Cola & Chippewa Downs Open Futurity (not black type) on Saturday at Chippewa Downs. The 300-yard event was run over a fast track and was open to 2-year-old Quarter Horses.

Ridden by Ricardo Martinez, Slew To Be Famous broke on top from the inside and dueled for the lead before prevailing by three-quarters of a length while stopping the timer in 16.527 seconds.

The homebred gelding is owned and bred by Susan Olson, and trained by Kenneth Olson. He now sports a record of 3-1-1-0 with earnings of $8,400.

Slew To Be Famous is sired by Famous Painted One and out of the Take Charge Indy (TB) mare River Rain.

Mighty Minjun finished second under Dallin Herman after making an outside bid throughout the stretch.

Owned by Chance and Hannah Wilson and trained by Mark Allery, the gelding was bred by Jeffrey Wilson.

He is by Domishay and out of the stakes-placed Mighty B Valiant mare Mighty Lucille. Mighty Minjun now holds a record of 3-0-1-0 with earnings of $3,645.

My Fancy Valentine rallied late to finish third under Rhett Migues. The homebred filly is owned and bred by Jeff and Eva Marie Hopper and trained by Junior Dolphus.

She is sired by Fancy Get Your Prize and out of the Valiant Hero mare Shaunda Hit My Prize. The filly now owns a record of 5-0-2-1 with earnings of $4,660.

Completing the order of finish were Hasta Be Famous One and AC Memaws Moonpie.
