EVANSTON, WY–JUNE 12, 2026–A total of 11 trial heats were contested Friday at Wyoming Downs to determine the 10 finalists for the $100,000-added 307 Horse Racing Wyoming Bred Futurity, which will be contested on June 27.
Fastest qualifier Er Innocent Party earned his spot atop the leaderboard with an impressive debut performance in the opening trial. Breaking sharply from the outside post, the gelding quickly secured the lead before edging clear late to score by 1¾ lengths in the fastest clocking of the afternoon, :15.457 with a speed index of 102. Kevin Carbajal rode the homebred for owners Elsha McGarry and Ross Brown, who also trains the gelding.
Making his first career start, Er Innocent Party is sired by multiple graded stakes winner Hes Innocent. He is out of the Pappasito mare Pappas Party, a finalist in both the Wyoming Downs/Renegade Sports Derby and Cowboy State Futurity.
Second-fastest qualifier Paint Me Time was best of the rest in the same trial. The filly broke alertly and tracked the winner throughout, finishing a clear second while posting a :15.598 clocking with a 96 speed index. Jose Juan Olivo was aboard the Chris Nebeker homebred trained by Kylie Valenzuela.
Paint Me Time entered the trials off a maiden victory at Wyoming Downs and now sports a record of 3-1-1-0 with earnings exceeding $7,000. The filly is by Jess Paint Me and out of the Glock mare Glock Time, a winner and Wyoming Bred Derby finalist.
Billys High Returns posted the third-fastest qualifying mark after overcoming a less-than-perfect start in the 10th trial. Racing just off pace-setter Pappas Jojo, the filly surged late under David Alvarez Jr. to gain the advantage in the final strides and stop the timer in :15.708, posting a 92 speed index.
The homebred filly races for breeder-owner Bill Doenz and is conditioned by Josh Taylor. Making her first career start, Billys High Returns is by champion Kiss My Hocks and out of the High Rate of Return mare Love My High Returns, a winner on the racetrack.
The $100,000-added 307 Horse Racing Wyoming Bred Futurity final is scheduled for June 27 at Wyoming Downs.
