Famous N Relentless Captures $100,000 Ruidoso Invitational Stakes

ALBUQUERQUE, NM–JUNE 6, 2026–Coming off a runner-up effort in the Mr Master Bug Stakes (G3), Famous N Relentless returned to the winner's circle Saturday night with a determined victory in the $100,000 Ruidoso Invitational Stakes at The Downs at Albuquerque.

Ridden by Ramiro Garcia, Famous N Relentless broke sharply and never surrendered the lead, holding off a late challenge to cover 400 yards in :19.260 while earning a 97 speed index.

The Oklahoma-bred gelding races for owners Tom Maher and Amber Olmstead and is trained by Jason Olmstead.

Bred by Tom Maher, the gelding is sired by Hes Relentless and out of the Tres Seis mare Tritoon. The victory marked his second career stakes win following last year's Remington Park Juvenile Stakes.

The winner's share of $42,967 increased his lifetime earnings to $193,666 from a record of 13 starts with six wins, three seconds and two thirds.

The Diesel Train rallied strongly under Jose Enriquez to finish second for owner and trainer Luis Daniel Iturralde.

Bred by Steve Holt, the gelding is by Freighttrain B and out of the Apollitical Jess mare Apollotah. Still seeking his first stakes victory, The Diesel Train has been a finalist in several major stakes races, including the Grade 1 All American Futurity. He now sports a record of 13-3-3-0 with earnings of $157,374.

Apolitical Valor finished another half-length back in third under Jacob Enriquez for owner MJR Investments, Ltd. and trainer Clinton Crawford. B

Bred by Canadian River Quarter Horses LLC, the gelding is sired by Apollitical Jess and out of the Valiant Hero mare Belle Of Valor. Following a third-place finish in the Mr Master Bug Stakes (G3) earlier this season, Apolitical Valor now owns a record of 12-4-1-3 with earnings of $252,950.

Cowboy 1 finished fourth and was followed by Lareda, Relentless Wine, Special Sesson, Faust and Wynston. KJ Xquizit Jess was scratched.
