This Cowboys An Eagle Captures Colors of Houston Juvenile Stakes

HOUSTON, TX–JUNE 6, 2026–This Cowboys An Eagle delivered a dominant performance Saturday afternoon at Sam Houston Race Park, drawing away from his rivals to capture the $20,000 Colors of Houston Juvenile Stakes at 300 yards.

The gelding covered the distance in :15.728 while posting an 87 speed index.

Ridden by Raul Hernandez, Jr., This Cowboys An Eagle races for owner Jesus Molina and trainer Joseph Manucy. The victory marked the gelding's first stakes win in just his third career start and boosted his earnings to $8,928.

Bred by Sandra Garnett, the Texas-bred gelding is sired by This Is An Eagle and out of the stakes-winning Awesome Chrome mare Camo Cowgirl.

Flying G Litos rallied late under Oliver Martinez to secure the runner-up spot for the Flying G Litos Partnership and trainer Arnold Lewis. Making his third career start, the gelding was bred by April Galindo and sold for $11,000 at the TQHA Yearling Sale.

He is sired by Chilitos and out of the unraced The Louisiana Cartel mare RC Smokin Hot, a half sister to stakes winners I Am That Hero ($225,168) and Shake Em Streakin ($183,501).

Trillion finished third under Alejandro Medina for owner-breeder Guerras Racing Stables and trainer Gilberto Gonzalez.

The colt was making only his second lifetime start. He is a son of Cartel Dragon and out of the stakes-winning Painted Turnpike mare CL Painted Shadows.

Chilita Especial checked in fourth and was followed by Cowboys Success, You Proof, Taken It Home and La Chanel. Angel Is Loose was scratched from the field.
