VINTON, LA—April 25, 2026—Seven trial heats were contested Saturday night at Delta Downs to determine qualifiers for the $151,650 Old South Futurity, with the 330-yard final scheduled for May 16. A competitive group of two-year-olds took center stage, led by Be Myy Valentine, who posted the fastest qualifying time of the night.

Be Myy Valentine delivered a sharp, wire-to-wire victory in the sixth trial, drawing clear to win by a half-length while stopping the clock in :16.913 seconds and earning a 90 speed index. The filly showed early speed and never looked back, stamping herself as the one to beat heading into the final.

A $58,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate, Be Myy Valentine was bred by McColee Land & Livestock LLC and is owned by J Lazy Six Racing. She is trained by Viviane Hill and was ridden by Leonardo Rodriguez.

The filly is sired by all-time leading sire Apollitical Jess, whose progeny have earned more than $83.8 million, and is out of the stakes-winning Valiant Hero mare Valiantinecandyrocks ($260,779). She is a half-sister to stakes winner Its A Good Valentine ($111,086), from the family of champions Chasing AJ ($907,069) and Jess Good Candy ($2,014,703). With a win and a placing from two starts, she remains unbeaten in her young career.

Second fastest qualifier Favoreson MV also turned in an impressive effort, finishing second in the same trial while stopping the clock in :16.989 seconds and posting an 88 speed index.

Bred by Paulo Otavio Freire MacEdo and owned by Vista Del Sol Inc., the colt is trained by Esau Hernandez and was ridden by Adrian Morales. He is sired by champion Golden Boi and is out of the Grade 1-winning Good Reason SA mare Reason To Fly MV. The performance marked a strong debut for the colt, who immediately established himself as a contender.

Third fastest qualifier Mucho Man Lady secured her spot with a narrow victory in the third trial, winning by a nose in :17.014 seconds while earning an 87 speed index. Ridden by Manuel Gutierrez, the filly is a homebred for Ruse Ranch LLC and is trained by Jose Garcia.

She is sired by leading sire KJ Mucho Macho Man and is out of the Cosmograph TB mare Cosmo Traffic, a winning and stakes-placed runner. Mucho Man Lady now holds a record of 3-1-1-1 with earnings of $35,301 and entered the trials off a third-place finish in the Louisiana Downs Futurity (G2).
