FARMINGTON, NM–APRIL 10, 2026– HM Bigdad Relentless edged clear late to win the $68,950 New Mexico Breeders Stakes (G3) on April 10 at SunRay Park, getting the better of 4-5 favorite Woodcutt after a prolonged stretch duel. The colt covered 400 yards in :19.747 seconds over a fast track.
Ridden by Jesse Levario, HM Bigdad Relentless dueled throughout and finished strongly to prevail by a neck. The victory was worth $42,000 and marked his first stakes win.
A homebred for Norberto Morales Perez, the colt is trained by Jorge Morales-Flores. He is sired by leading sire Big Daddy Cartel, whose progeny have earned more than $30 million, and is out of the Hes Relentless mare Relentless Concierge, a stakes placed runner and half-sister to world champion sire Freighttrain B ($421,761).
HM Bigdad Relentless is a half-brother to stakes winner Corona Relentless ($237,097), with the female family tracing through graded stakes winners Dianetogetcha ($63,373) and Dianetomeetcha ($89,193). HM Bigdad Relentless now holds a record of 6-2-2-1 with earnings of $76,068.

Ridden by Jose Enriquez, the filly is a homebred for Mike Abraham and Paul Blanchard and is trained by Jose DeHerrera.
She stopped the clock in :19.771 seconds while posting an 88 speed index and now holds a record of 10-3-0-0 with earnings of $71,125. Still seeking her first stakes win, she has previously been a finalist in the Sunburst Stakes (G3) and the Mountain Top New Mexico Bred Juvenile.
She is sired by Docs Best Card and is out of the Jess A Chicks mare Jess Fire Chick, a graded stakes winner. Second dam is stakes winner Required Fire ($71,235), and the third dam is graded stakes winner No Tools Required ($116,509).
Woodcutt completed the top three after being part of the early and mid-stretch duel before weakening late. Ridden by Jordy Muniz, the gelding is owned by Homero Hermilo Campa-Mireles, trained by Eric Valenzuela, and was bred by MJ Farms.
He stopped the clock in :19.903 seconds while posting an 85 speed index and now has a record of 7-2-1-2 with earnings of $89,463. Still in search of his first stakes win, he was a finalist in the New Mexican Spring Futurity (G2) and the New Mexico State Fair Juvenile.
He is sired by Woodbridge and is out of the Tres Seis mare Starsmith, a stakes winning mare, and is a full brother to graded stakes winner Woodys Allstar ($180,766).
The Ghan finished fourth, followed by Lucky Lodi, Louie Cartel, Jess A Moon Girl, and HM Kingvalley
