OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MARCH 29, 2026– Trainer Ed Hardy and jockey Angel O. Ramirez came up with a pair of wins, bookending the card, including the featured allowance winner One Fabulous Boy, who ran like his name and his heavily favored odds Sunday.
Hardy and Ramirez combined talents to win the first race of the night with the Paint, Gitter Dun Belle at 5-1 odds and then brought home the 2-5 favorite One Fabulous Boy at 550 yards in the nightcap.
One Fabulous Boy, a 7-year-old Oklahoma-bred gelded son of One Fabulous Eagle, out of the Check Him Out mare Check Out Kaelie, had been racing in stakes company as the year came to end in 2025. He dropped in class to an allowance field on Sunday and it was just what the doctor ordered, prevailing by a half-length over One Big Famous Lew (16-1 odds) for the victory.
One Fabulous Boy has now won two-of-three starts at 550 yards and 6-of-11 races at Remington Park. He earned $24,840 from this $43,460 allowance purse for owners Diane and Paul Wolfe of Simi Valley, Calif. The winner improved his lifetime record to 25 starts, 10 wins, one second and three thirds for a bankroll of $250,214. He was bred by his owners.
One Fabulous Boy paid $2.80 to win, $2.40 to place and $2.10 to show. He stopped the timer in :27.518 on the fast track, earning a speed index of 88.
The last time this gelding raced 550 yards was at Remington Park in allowance conditions on May 4 last year and he won that, too, by a full length. One Fabulous Boy had finished third in the Grade 2, $50,000 SLM Big Daddy Stakes in the race prior to that on March 9 to a monster distance horse named Mr Michel. After winning May allowance race at Remington Park, he was entered back into stakes races at Prairie Meadows in Altoona, Ia., and the Downs at Albuquerque in New Mexico. He had good fourth-place efforts in the Grade 2 Championship Challenge in Iowa on Aug. 17 and then in the Casino Downs Stakes on Oct. 18 before hanging it up for the year. The Sunday win was his first race back for One Fabulous Boy since turning 7 years old.
Remington Park racing moves into April with action Thursday through Saturday, April 2-4. The first race nightly is at 6pm-Central. There will be no Remington Park racing on Easter.
