BOSSIER CITY, LA–MARCH 5, 2026– Mamma Im Leaving You turned in the fastest qualifying time Thursday afternoon in the trials for the Mardi Gras Oaks at Louisiana Downs, winning the opening trial in :19.840 for 400 yards, while posting a 101 speed index.

Ridden by Noe Castaneda for owner Jeantile M. Deville and trainer Jose L. Lopez, the Coronas Leaving You filly secured the top qualifying position heading into the $100,000-estimated Mardi Gras Oaks final scheduled for March 28.

Bred in Louisiana by Wiggins Acres LLC, Mamma Im Leaving You is a $33,000 graduate of the LQHBA Yearling Sale. She is out of the Apollitical Jess mare Mamma Jamma Jamma, a winning mare. The filly improved her career record to 8-3-3-1 while boosting her earnings to $138,414.

Thursday’s effort marked her first start of the 2026 season. She concluded her 2025 campaign with a fifth-place finish in the Louisiana Champions Day Juvenile Stakes (G2) and also recorded runner-up efforts in both the Louisiana Bred Lassie Futurity (G2) and the Mardi Gras Futurity (G2).

Usxpress earned the second-fastest qualifying time after finishing second to Mamma Im Leaving You in the same trial, stopping the clock in :20.010, posting a 96 speed index.

Owned by Blackmon Quarter Horses LLC and trained by Luis Daniel Garcia, the filly was ridden by Federico Vargas. A $19,000 LQHBA Yearling Sale graduate bred by Lester Colomb Jr., Usxpress is by Heza Fast Rogue and out of the Corona Cartel mare EC Prairie Mist, a winning mare.

Usxpress now owns a record of 8-3-3-1 with earnings of $36,335. Her previous stakes appearance came in the 2025 LQHBA Louisiana Million Invitational Stakes, where she was a finalist.

Marcy Train B secured the third qualifying position after finishing third in the opening trial, recording a time of :20.112, posting a 93 speed index.

Owned by Jaime Cardenas and trained by Josue Ponce, the Freighttrain B filly was ridden by Jorge Javier Garcia. She was bred by Grant Farms LLC and sold for $41,000 at the LQHBA Yearling Sale.

Marcy Train B is out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Jessbye Marcy, a winner and finalist in the All American Juvenile Stakes. The accomplished filly now holds a record of 11-4-1-3 with earnings of $201,842.

A two-time stakes winner, Marcy Train B captured the Louisiana Bred Lassie Futurity (RG2) and the LQHBA Sale Debutante Stakes. She closed out her 2025 season as a finalist in the LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity (G1).
