PHOENIX, AZ–FEBRUARY 16, 2026– Shiny Nova continued his dominant 2026 campaign Monday afternoon at Turf Paradise, setting a new track record while capturing the $32,800 Allred Brothers Stakes at 350 yards.

Ridden by Gabriel Medrano, Shiny Nova broke sharply from the outside post, dueled early, and edged clear late to win by one length. The sorrel gelding stopped the clock in 17.261 seconds, eclipsing the previous track record of 17.263 set January 8, 2026. A homebred for J. P. Sample, Shiny Nova is trained by Matthew Fales and is sired by Racy Casanova out of the First To Shine mare Alltheshine, a two-time stakes winner. The victory marked his second win from two starts in 2026 and improved his overall record to 20-12-1-1. The $19,352 winner’s share boosted his lifetime earnings to $140,891. This marked the gelding’s third career stakes win, adding to victories in the Bitterroot Futurity (G3) and Bitterroot Derby.
