Fast Man Moonflash Rallies From Last-To-First To Win The Jesús “Nuchi” Jiménez Sánchez Classic

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO–NOVEMBER 30, 2025–Fast Man Moonflash prevailed with a powerful late charge to win the $16,250 Jesús “Nuchi” Jiménez Sánchez Classic on Sunday at the Hipódromo de las Américas.

The Oklahoma-bred colt captured the 300-yard feature stakes race in 15.48 seconds, earning an 81 speed index. He crossed the wire half a length in front of Dulce Sensacion after launching a determined rally from last place, breaking his maiden in the process.

Starting dead last from the inside post, Fast Man Moonflash regrouped quickly and surged through traffic under Huberclein Gomez, sweeping past rivals in the final yards to secure the first victory of his career.

The son of champion sire First Moonflash races for Cuadra Cartas Blancas and is trained by Jorge Ruiz Periban. He was bred in Oklahoma by Jeff and Eva Marie Hepper and is out of Fast Mans Prize, by Heza Fast Man. The stakes purse awarded $8,000 to the winner, pushing his total earnings to $9,400 as he now holds a record of 1-1-1 from four starts.

Runner-up Dulce Sensacion impressed in his career debut, finishing a strong second just a half-length behind the winner. The Oklahoma-bred colt is by the #1 leading first crop sire in the U.S. Dulce Sin Tacha and out of Chrome Hussy, by Corona Cartel.

Racing for Cuadra Jojola R., Dulce Sensacion was bred by Wendy Dees Monsees, trained by Jose Tapia Fernandez, and ridden by Alejandro Gomez. He was purchased for $16,000 in the 2024 Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale.

Third-place finisher Wreckognize held on gamely after being part of the early mix. The Texas-bred gelding is by leading sire Flying Cowboy 123 and out of Newport Lilysdelight, a daughter of Tres Seis.

Trainer Antonio Garcia Carranza saddled the gelding ridden by Heriberto Camacho for owner Cuadra Alpuyeca. Bred by the Terrazas Family, he previously sold for $127,000 at the 2024 TQHA Yearling Sale.

Rounding out the field were Wind River in fourth, Fdd Star in fifth, Bolt Thru My Heart sixth, Kobe Kool seventh, Cowboy Desirio Fame eighth, Dashing Bureaucracy ninth, and Moms Favorite Child in tenth.
