HOBBS, NM–NOVEMBER 23, 2025–Flashtoglory scored a repeat victory for the second consecutive year in the $200,000 New Mexico Classic Fillies and Mares Quarter Horse Championship (RG1) on Sunday at Zia Park.
Christian Ramos guided the mare to a decisive front-running win, drawing clear by a length over Chicka Boom Babe. The post-time favorite returned $3.40 to win at 1-2 odds.
Flashtoglory kept her momentum throughout the 400-yard trip, breaking cleanly from the inside and never being challenged as she drew clear with a steady drive. She stopped the clock in 19.581 while earning an 87 speed index.

Sunday’s victory added $117,600 to her total, pushing her career earnings to $496,266 while securing the third stakes win of her career.
Earlier this season she captured the Lou Wooten and Sydney Valentini Stakes-G2, and she also won last year’s edition of this same championship. Her race record now stands at 25 starts, seven wins, eight seconds, and four thirds.
Chicka Boom Babe finished second after making a late run under Noe Garcia Jr., recovering from a stumble at the break and steadily gaining ground through the final yards. Bred by Ivey Cattle Co , the filly is by Chicks Regard andout of Riverside Babe by First Moonflash.
She is trained by Wes Giles for owners Robert M. Driggers and Ben Lee Ivey. Chicka Boom Babe has compiled five wins, six seconds, and two thirds from 22 starts, with $312,667 in earnings, including a win in the New Mexico Classic Futurity-G2 during her freshman campaign.
This season includes a third-place finish in the Lou Wooten and Sydney Valentini Stakes-G2 and she was a finalist in the Abigail Kawananakoa Stakes-G3 and Champagne Lane Stakes.
Heart Breakn Blondie earned her first black-type recognition with a determined third-place finish after hitting the gate at the start. The daughter of Bodacious Dash is out of Eagle In The Sky by One Famous Eagle and she was bred by Bobby Simmons.
Owned by Omar Najar and trained by Juvencio Canales, the Heart Breakn Blondie now has one win, one second, and two thirds from 12 starts and $36,200 in total earnings. She was a finalist in the NM Breeders Futurity-G3 and the NM Spring Fling Stakes earlier in her career.
Copy Of Jess, Jess Emotions, Big Daddy Farr, Ebw Dancnthemoonlite, and Tina Katarina complete the order of finish.
