LOS ALAMITOS, CA–NOVEMBER 20, 2025–Parsons Family Limited Partnership's Rockin With Energy scored her second graded stakes victory of the year after breaking sharply from post number six, taking control early and cruising home to win the Grade 2, $60,000 Las Damas Handicap on Saturday at Los Alamitos.
Ridden by Henry Reynoso Lopez for trainer Paul Jones, Rockin With Energy added her Las Damas triumph to her hard-fought nose victory in the Grade 1, $100,000 Charger Bar Handicap on January 5. This was the fourth stakes win of her career, as the 4-year-old mare by Parsons Rock out of the Grade 1 winning mare Terrific Energy enjoyed two stakes wins during her sophomore campaign.
The homebred won the Debutante Stakes on California Breeders Champions Night and the Justanold Love against older mares last year. In her career, she has won seven of 18 starts, earning a total of $301,598.
Sent off at 9-1 odds, Rockin With Energy earned $33,000 for winning the Las Damas while covering the 400 yards in :19.572. This was her fastest time ever at this distance.

"When she gets a clean break and a good trip, she just doesn't lose and gets the job done. She doesn't always get out of the gate. She'll have a little bad luck and doesn't get away, has a couple of mishaps. We gave her a little layoff, pulled some embryos out of her, and it took us a while to get her back after the Charger Bar. This is her third race back and she's really coming back into form. Tonight, she got the perfect trip, clean break, good run and she ran her race. She's full of talent."
Jones would like to see Rockin With Energy defend her title in the Charger Bar next year.
"The Charger Bar is our plan for her next out," he said. "We'll keep our fingers crossed and she can go there."
Rockin With Energy crossed the wire ¾ lengths ahead of Martin Stacy's Curls Joyful Wagon, who in addition to racing at Los Alamitos enjoyed a brilliant spring at Remington Park, where she won the Grade 1 Junos Request and the Grade 2 Decketta. Trained by John Stinebaugh and ridden by Edwin Escobedo, Curls Joyful Wagon earned $13,500 for her runner-up effort.
The mare by Pyc Paint Your Wagon has finished first or second in 13 of her 29 career starts. PV Quarter Horse Farms, LLC's I Am Candy endured the first blemish of her three-race career at Los Alamitos. She finished third in this race after winning an allowance test and the Sound Dash Handicap in her previous outing. Ridden by Justine Klaiber for trainer Eddie Willis, she earned $7,500 for her top three finish.
AJ Born Runnin, Silver Bac, Jessica Cruz, and Budderhomesngarden completed the field.
