SHELBYVILLE, IN—OCTOBER 25, 2025—A sharp late rally carried Absolute Domination to victory in the $30,000 Miss Roxie Little Juvenile Stakes on Saturday at Horseshoe Indianapolis.
The Indiana-bred two-year-old gelding covered 400 yards in 19.045 seconds, earning a speed index of 85, over a fast track under cloudy skies and a 7-mph crosswind.
Owned and bred by Ted J. Harpold, the sorrel gelding by multiple stakes sire Dominyun out of Born to Beatcha, by Lead the Field, was guided to victory by jockey Francisco Quintero for trainer Anthony Cunningham.
After breaking alertly from post five, Absolute Domination ran a steady race throughout and surged late to take command in the final yards, winning by a neck and earning $16,500 from the $30,000 purse.
The lightly raced gelding, making only his third career start, broke his maiden and boosted his earnings to $19,860.
Vikina, a sorrel filly by Coronas Leaving You out of Jess My Joy, by Mr Jess Perry, finished a close second for breeder, owner, and trainer Ricardo Martinez. Ridden by Fernando Morin, Vikina remained prominent throughout the race and was outfinished in the final strides to earn $6,000. Also a finalist in the Jaguar Rocket Futurity in July, Vikina has earned $22,203 in seven starts.
Kiss My Crush, a sorrel gelding by Kiss My Hocks out of Sc Girlcrush, by Coronado Cartel, finished third under jockey Luis Luna Diaz for owner and breeder Jeffrey Sheets and trainer Tim Eggleston. Breaking sharply to take the early lead, Kiss My Crush stayed on gamely in deep stretch to earn $3,000 for the effort. He has earned $19,128 in seven starts this year.
Pari-mutuel payoffs were $74.80 to win, $33.80 to place, and $14.00 to show for Absolute Domination; $12.00 to place and $7.20 to show for Vikina; and $11.20 to show for Kiss My Crush. The $2 exacta (5–9) returned $801.60, the 50-cent trifecta (5–9–3) paid $4,203.00, and the 10-cent superfecta (5–9–3–7) returned $3,853.92.
The remaining order of finish was Cowgirl Beach, Victory Beach, Watch for Estela, Kiss a Favorite, One Sweet Wagon, Seven Beaches, and Fa Lillys of Wins.
