SHELBYVILLE, IN—OCTOBER 25, 2025— In a thrilling finish at Horseshoe Indianapolis on Saturday, Sauce C surged late to win the $30,000 Governors Juvenile Stakes, a 400-yard test for two-year-olds contested over a fast track under cloudy, 49-degree conditions with a seven-mile-per-hour crosswind.
The gray filly by leading second-crop sire Chilitos out of Runaway Trs Seis, by Tres Seis, stopped the timer in 20.499 seconds under jockey Luz Martinez.
Trained by Anthony Cunningham for owner William F. Collins, the Texas-bred filly earned $16,500 for the victory.
Bred by P & J Racing Ltd, Sauce C was a $57,000 RNA from the 2024 TQHA Yearling Sale. A winner of two of six starts, Sauce C more than doubled her earnings to $30,670.
Super Shiny, a brown filly by second-crop sire Mpshinning out of Katie Katella, by Separatist, was moved to second after Candy Jar drifted from the seven to the 10 path and was disqualified and placed eighth.
