ALBUQUERQUE, NM–OCTOBER 18, 2025–Rlh Fouronthefloor finally broke through for his first career stakes win on Saturday, capturing the $40,000 Casino at the Downs Quarter Horse Stakes at The Downs at Albuquerque.
The 5-year-old brown gelding stopped the clock in 21.150 seconds for 440 yards, earning a 98 speed index in the effort. Breaking well under jockey Christian Cardenas, Rlh Fouronthefloor surged ahead late to win by three-quarters of a length over Uncle Eds Idea, with Lethal Demon finishing another half-length back in third. The victory was worth $20,000 to the winning connections.
Owned by Casey Whitaker and Michael K. McKell, the gelding is trained by James J. Gonzales III. Rlh Fouronthefloor has competed in multiple stakes races throughout his career, including the Sweetwater Downs Maturity earlier this season.

From 14 starts, he has compiled seven wins, two seconds, and one third, with total earnings of $64,245. Bred in Idaho by R. L. Harrison, Rlh Fouronthefloor is by Jess Got Easier. He is out of Sp Saint Patty, by Saint Shackleton.
Runner-up Uncle Eds Idea, ridden by Oscar Andrade, Jr. for trainer Tammy Johnson, is a multiple stakes winner owned and bred by Robert and Stacey Martin of Texas. The 8-year-old sorrel gelding has made 45 career starts, posting 13 wins, 11 seconds, and 5 thirds, with $376,219 in earnings.
The son of Dominyun is out of Mystical Eye, by Mr Eye Opener. His résumé includes victories in the King William Stakes-G3 and the Black Gold 440 Championship Futurity.
Finishing third was Lethal Demon, who also competed in last year’s edition of this race, finishing second. The 5-year-old brown gelding was ridden by Joseph Belloc, Jr. and trained by Mark Brown for owners and breeders A. Mark and Peggy A. Brown of New Mexico.
Lethal Demon, by A Revenant, is out of Easily Lethal, by Corona Cartel. He has started 16 times, earning two wins, three seconds, and two thirds with $63,383 in total earnings. He was a $68,000 repurchase at the 2021 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale.
