Kvn Design Remains Undefeated with Victory in $218,880 OQHRA Mystery Futurity [RG2]

CLAREMORE, OK—SEPTEMBER 22, 2025—Undefeated filly Kvn Design surged late to capture the $218,880 OQHRA Mystery Futurity (RG2) at Will Rogers Downs on Monday afternoon, defeating a competitive field of Oklahoma-bred 2-year-olds going 350 yards.

Ridden by Roman Cruz, the daughter of champion and multiple stakes sire Kvn Corona out of the Okey Dokey Dale mare Okey Design completed the distance in 17.713, earning a speed index of 89 while running into an 11-mph crosswind over a fast track.

The victory gave Kvn Design her fourth consecutive win, pushing her career bankroll to $111,918. Bred in Oklahoma by Geo H. Suthers, the gray filly is owned by Saul Colin and trained by Cosme Velasquez. She was a $25,000 RNA from the 2024 Heritage Place Yearling Sale. She earned $88,052 for the neck victory today.

Emerald Bay, a bay filly by leading sire Flying Cowboy 123 out of Aqua Girl by Corona Cartel, broke sharply and held the lead until caught in the final strides, finishing second a neck behind the winner.

She races for the Wishbone Partnership, is trained by Dee Keener, and was ridden by champion jockey James Flores.

Bred by Mike Vaughan in Oklahoma, Emerald Bay collected $40,098 for the runner-up effort to boost her earnings to $79,244. Third in the Heritage Place Juvenile Stakes and a finalist in the Speedhorse Futurity(G3), she was a $60,000 RNA at the 2024 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

Flying Policy 123, another filly by Flying Cowboy 123 out of BP Tres Seis Policy by Tres Seis, finished another head back in third after making a strong early bid.

Owned by Clay Seal, trained by Michael Joiner, and bred in Oklahoma by Bill Price, she was ridden by Francisco Calderon and earned $26,566 for her performance. Sixth in the Grade 1 Heritage Place Futurity at Remington Park in May, Flying Polic 123 has earned $96,559.

Completing the order of finish were Sheza Goldigger in fourth, Forever Midnight fifth, Swift D Swyft sixth, Famous N Relentless seventh, Illegal Cowgirl 123 eighth, and Flashin The Candy ninth. Good Blue Candy was scratched.

Kvn Design returned $6.40 to win, $4.20 to place, and $3.60 to show. Emerald Bay paid $18.40 to place and $10.40 to show, while Flying Policy 123 returned $4.80 to show. The $2 exacta paid $130.80, the 50-cent trifecta returned $144.35, and the 10-cent superfecta was worth $137.54.
