BLACKFOOT, ID—SEPTEMBER 6, 2025—Dashing Deluxe proved much the best on Saturday afternoon, powering to victory in the $4,500 EISF Overnight Futurity (not black type) at the Eastern Idaho State Fair.

The two-year-old brown filly covered the 300 yards in 15.307 seconds over a fast track with a 6 mph crosswind, earning a 107 speed index and the winner’s share of $2,475 for owners Edilberto Gomez, Luis Gomez, and Salvador Gomez.

Sired by Eagle Deluxe and out of Bipty Dash by Heza Fast Dash, Dashing Deluxe was bred in Louisiana by Erin Chrisman and was purchased for $8,500 at the 2024 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

Sent off as the 1.40-to-1 favorite, the filly broke alertly under jockey Angel Armenta and quickly established command before holding off a determined challenge in the final yards.

Trained by Luis Gomez, Dashing Deluxe has now stamped herself as a rising talent in the juvenile ranks. The filly also won the Quarter Horse Futurity at the Cassia County Fair on August 16.

Finishing second was Mi Blood Token, a gray filly by Apollitical Blood out of Splendifferous by Mr Jess Perry, bred in Utah by Michael W. Isom, who is also the owner. Under jockey Luis Collazo and trainer Kylie Valenzuela, Mi Blood Token ran a steady race and crossed the wire three-quarters of a length behind the winner, earning $1,125 for the effort.

Cr Nitas Rose secured third place for owner Cole Rowser and trainer Dalton Hansen. The gray filly by Temecula Dash out of Nitas Fame by Dash Ta Fame was bred by Danny Davon Thomas and ridden by Cesar Moreno. Cr Nitas Rose ran evenly throughout and finished another half-length back, earning $675.

At the windows, Dashing Deluxe returned $4.80 to win, $2.80 to place, and $2.80 to show.

Dos Cincos in fourth, rounded out the order of finish, followed by Mz Whisky in fifth, Morning Coffee in sixth, and Am Secret Eagle seventh.
