BLACKFOOT, ID—SEPTEMBER 5, 2025—Bg Black Friday captured the $10,000 Idaho Bred Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at the Eastern Idaho State Fair on Friday, covering 350 yards in 18.051 seconds on a fast track with an 8-mph crosswind. The victory earned the filly $5,500 and a speed index of 91

Bg Black Friday, a 2-year-old Appaloosa filly by first-crop Quarter Horse sire Cyber Monday and out of Cmb A Final Legacy by Geneo Jj, was ridden by Eric Ayala for trainer-owner Bryan Grant and breeder Becky Grant. She rallied from second early to win by a neck

It was her third win in six starts this season, boosting her bankroll to $15,173.

Dutch Cartel finished second, a neck behind the winner. The Appaloosa filly is by graded Quarter Horse stakes sire Coronado Cartel and out of Piets Dutch Diva by Takin the Cash. She was ridden by Jesus Flores, trained by Monte Bird, and is owned and bred by Miriam Bird, earning $2,500

Chemo Queen ran third, a half-length behind Dutch Cartel, collecting $1,500. The Appaloosa filly, by Ivory King and out of Una Mas by Flying T Kingofkings, was ridden by Dakota Wood, trained by Don Atwood, and is owned and bred by Barbara Atwood, collecting $1,500

My Cajun Queen finished fourth, earning $500, while Nacho Average Paint was fifth with no purse earnings.

Pari-mutuel payoffs reflected a competitive betting race. Bg Black Friday returned $4.20 to win, $2.60 to place, and $2.60 to show. Dutch Cartel paid $3.20 to place and $2.80 to show, while Chemo Queen returned $3.00 to show.
