Rtm Hot Milk Scores Commanding Win in Prineville Quarter Horse Futurity

PRINEVILLE, OR—JULY 11, 2025—Rtm Hot Milk, a gray filly by champion sire Kiss My Hocks out of Rtm Say Your Prayers by Chickie Cherry Cola, drew off powerfully to win the $10,800 Prineville Quarter Horse Futurity on Friday, July 11, at the Crooked River Roundup.

Bred in Idaho by Susan T. Hanson and owned by RTM Stables LLC, the filly broke sharply under jockey Jose Figueroa, grabbed the lead immediately, and widened her margin to win by a length in a final time of 13.265 seconds for the 250-yard dash, earning a 90 speed index on a fast track with no wind.

Trainer Mark Hanson conditions the two-year-old filly, who earned $4,320 for the victory. Undefeated in three starts, she also won the Iadho Cup Futurity in May and has banked $23,440.

Runner-up Cinderella Jg, a sorrel filly by Coronas Leaving You out of Streakin The Edge by Streakin La Jolla, put in a game bid but could not match the winner late, finishing a length behind.

Bred in Louisiana by Russell P. Mowad, Cinderella Jg is owned and trained by Jose Gomez-Canchola and was ridden by jockey Erick Garcia. She earned $2,160 for her runner-up effort, doubling her earnings to $4,160. She was a finalist in the Firecracker Futurity Consolation at Grants Pass on July 4.

Finishing third was Aspen T, a chestnut gelding by The Cartel Hawk out of L Bar D Bonnie Lee by Giorgino, bred in Oregon by Hernan Torres. Owned and trained by Jose Torres-Arenas, Aspen T was ridden by jockey Salvador Ibarra and checked in 1-3/4 of a length behind the second-place finisher, earning $1,620.

In the wagering pools, Rtm Hot Milk returned $4.80 to win, $3.00 to place, and $2.80 to show. Cinderella Jg paid $5.60 to place and $7.40 to show. Aspen T returned $7.80 to show.

Also-rans were Camila Girl (4th), Angel J (5th), Cashed Out Corona (6th), D N Apolitical (7th), and Eye On Radar (8th).
