SHAKOPEE, MN–JULY 10, 2025– Relentless Legacy, a 6-year-old bay gelding by Hes Relentless out of Legacys A Streakin by Streakin La Jolla, showcased his class to win the $20,000 Bob Morehouse Stakes at Canterbury Park on Friday evening.

Breaking cleanly from the gate and inching away late, Relentless Legacy crossed the wire in a sharp 17.562 seconds for the 350-yard distance on a fast track, registering a 101 speed index with no wind factor recorded.

Owned by Tom Maher, bred by Donald J. Friesen (MN), and trained by Jason Olmstead, the multiple stakes winner was piloted to victory by leading Quarter Horse jockey Armando Alvidrez. The win rewarded his connections with a first-place check of $10,588, boosting his earnings to $146,843.

"He likes it, he's a Minnesota-bred, this is home, he always shows up here," Alvidrez.

Relentless Legacy won the North Star Derby and Cash Caravan Stakes at Canterbury Park.

Just three-quarters of a length back in second was L Conejo, a promising 3-year-old sorrel gelding by One Sweet Jess out of Bunny Run Now by I Want It Now.

Bred in Minnesota by Jaqueline Moreno, L Conejo races for owne-trainer Haley N. Hobbs and was ridden by Fernando Fonseca-Soto. L Conejo earned $4,000 for his runner-up finish. Winner of North Star Derby on June 11, he has earned $46,863 in 12 starts.

Finishing third, another head back, was Beep Beep Rev Rev, a 5-year-old brown mare by A Revenant out of Etta Betta Zoom by Shazoom. Bred by Summer Run Inc. (MN), Beep Beep Rev Rev runs for Summer Run, Inc., is trained by Jason Olmstead, and had Ramiro Garcia aboard. She picked up $2,353 for her effort.

Winner of the North Star Futurity, Minnesota Futurity, Canterbury Park Derby, and Minnesota Derby, Beep Beep Rev Rev has banked over $208,000 in 23 starts.

The betting public made Relentless Legacy the odds-on favorite, paying $2.60 to win, $2.10 to place, and $2.10 to show. L Conejo returned $3.60 to place and $2.10 to show, while Beep Beep Rev Rev paid $2.10 to show.
