SHELBYVILLE, IN–JULY 4, 2025–Streakindownthebeach delivered a determined late surge to earn his first career stakes victory in the $36,500 Easys Night Beat Overnight Stakes on Friday at Horseshoe Indianapolis.
Streakindownthebeach edged up to take the lead at the final stretch and crossed the wire in 17.512 seconds, registering a 101 speed index. The post-time favorite’s 350-yard effort paid $2.80 for the win.
The Tim Eggleston trainee was guided by Luis Luna Diaz and earned $20,075 for the effort, which boosted his lifetime earnings to $175,577. The son of Habits Secret has made 27 lifetime starts, compiling a record of 6 wins, 6 seconds, and seven thirds.

"Everybody needs a Streakindownthebeach in their barn,” noted Eggleston, who leads all Quarter Horse trainers in the standings for 2025. “He's honest as the day is long. Breaks, runs, and if he has a bad day, you smile and go on. But he doesn't have many of those."
Owned by Buddy Presley and bred by Edward A. Pennington, Streakindownthebeach is out of Beach Runner, by Escondido Beach. He was a $26,750 purchase from the 2021 QHRAI Speed Sale.
Jess A Flyin Train ran a strong race from the gate, taking an early lead before being caught late by the eventual winner. The 4-year-old son of Freighttrain B, trained by Claudio Barraza and ridden by Edgar Diaz, finished a game second, a full length clear of third.
Jess A Flyin Train is out of Jess Alive Bully, by Feature Mr Jess. He was bred by Sheri Miller and is campaigned by Keith Bode. His runner-up performance added $7,300 to a bankroll that now stands at $57,036 from 15 lifetime starts.
Ridden by Luz Martinez, Cisco Beach was a solid third after breaking alertly and maintaining position throughout. Trainer Anthony Cunningham saddled the 4-year-old bay gelding for owners Pamela Brickley Hann and Craig Zeneberg.
Bred by Duane Swingley the son of Escondido Beach is out of Tru Lee Quick, by La Jollaroid and has lifetime earnings of $137,732 from 18 starts.
Sin Tachas Secret closed late to take fourth, followed by Ajk Forgiven, who weakened in the stretch for fifth. Ap Miss Lunas Tide was sixth after a wide trip and a belated effort, while El Fulano faded in the final stages. Tin Knocker was scratched.
