Dc Ladys Dashn Eagle Takes Director’s Handicap at Grants Pass Downs

GRANTS PASS, OR—JUNE 29, 2025—Dc Ladys Dashn Eagle, a 5-year-old sorrel gelding by One Dashing Eagle out of Dc Lady Juno by Gol, continued his winning streak by capturing the $20,700 Director’s Handicap for 3-year-olds and up at Grants Pass Downs on Sunday.

Ridden confidently by jockey Jaime Lopez for owner/breeder Donald Conway (WA) and trainer H. Magallanes, the multiple stakes winner surged home in 17.193 seconds for the 350-yard dash over a fast track, recording a speed index of 106.

The victory improved Dc Ladys Dashn Eagle’s career record to seven win in 18 starts, with earnings to $83,847, adding this afternoon's winner’s share of $10,350 to his bankroll. Dc Ladys Dashn Eagle’s was second in the Directors Handicap in 2024.

Second place went to the seasoned mare Bv Mary Rose, a 6-year-old by Hez Our Secret out of Striking Presence by Corona Cartel. The Oklahoma-bred runner was bred by Bella Vista Farms LLC, owned by Bryan and Tranquilino Flores, and trained by B. Flores.

Jockey Jose Rodriguez guided the multiple stakes-placed mare, who picked up $5,175 for her runner-up effort. She was purchased for $7,000 at the 2020 Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City and has $41,885.

Third-place honors were earned by Idaho-bred Rtm Ginsburg, a 5-year-old gray gelding by First Moonflash out of Rtm Say Your Prayers by Chickie Cherry Cola.

The stakes winner has won six races for RTM Stables LLC, is trained by Mark Hanson, and was piloted by Jose Figueroa. Bred by Susan T Hanson, Rtm Ginsburg added $2,484 to boost his earnings above $43,700.

The official margins were head, half, and three-quarters of a length.

Pari-mutuel payoffs: Dc Ladys Dashn Eagle paid $11.00 to win, $4.80 to place, and $5.20 to show. Bv Mary Rose returned $6.20 to place and $5.80 to show. Rtm Ginsburg paid $6.20 to show.

Rounding out the field were Da Bros Cartel (4th), Jesstafiably Jess (5th), Nowhere Too Run (6th), Peregrino Af (7th), Jr (8th), Train Trax (9th), and Fast Movin Freight (10th).
