RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—MAY 30, 2025—Jingle Wood, a $77,000 Ruidoso New Mexico-Bred Yearling Sale graduate, stamped himself as the one to beat in the $350,000-estimated Mountain Top QH Futurity by posting the fastest qualifying time during 13 trials held Friday at Ruidoso Downs.
The bay gelding romped to a four-length maiden win in Trial 7, securing his spot atop the list of ten qualifiers who will return for the final on Sunday, June 15.
Trained by Clinton Crawford and ridden by jockey Jacob Enriquez, Jingle Wood clocked the 350 yards in 17.608 seconds, equaling a 90 speed index into a 5 mph crosswind on a sloppy (sealed) racing surface.
"The two outs at Sunland really helped the horse,” Crawford said. “He walked into the paddock today and was very professional about everything."
Jingle Wood is a son of multiple stakes winner Woodbridge out of Lee Berwick Memorial Louisiana Bred Futurity (RG1) winner Ms Jingles by Bigtime Favorite.

A half-brother to New Mexico State Fair Futurity(RG2) winner Bella De Ball, Jingle Wood has earned $16,090 to date.
Mw B Cause Im Sexy broke his maiden in the opening trial to post the second fastest clocking of 17.696 seconds, an 88 speed index with a 6 mph tailwind on a fast track.
Racing owners Larry Marcum and Nancy Wells, the son of B Cause Im A Hero entered the trials off a four-place maiden finish in his only other start at Los Alamitos Racecourse on April 12. Trainer Wesley Giles named jockey Emilio Tapia to ride the gelding out of Uncommonly Sexy by Sixes Royal.
