Rf Fast Dash N Blood Tops Field in $268,895 Laddie Futurity [RG2] Finals

VINTON, LA–MAY 24, 2025–Rf Fast Dash N Blood, the fastest qualifier from the trials, delivered a strong performance to win the $268,895 Laddie Futurity [RG2] finals on Saturday at Delta Downs.

Victor Urieta Jr. qualified the colt in the trials, but Jorge Garcia picked up the mount for the final. The son of Apollitical Blood posted a 99-speed index, covering the 330 yards in 16.580 seconds to defeat Luziana Man by half a length. Sent off as the 2-1 favorite, the victory returned $6.80 on a $2.00 wager.

Rf Fast Dash N Blood earned $134,448 for the effort, increasing his total earnings to $165,794. The win marked his second from four starts.

Owner Jaime Cardenas purchased Rf Fast Dash N Blood for $80,000 at the 2024 LQHBA Yearling Sale, as well as Marcy Train B for $41,000, who captured the Lassie Futurity on Friday night. Miguel Castillo trains both horses.

Rf Fast Dash N Blood was bred by Tim and Jennie Rogers of Rogers Farm. He is out of Fast Dash N Deb, a Heza Fast Dash mare who is a Grade 3 stakes-placed runner and track record setter.

Rf Fast Dash N Blood is a half-brother to last year’s Lassie Futurity winner Rf Fast Dash N Train, who is also owned by Cardenas, as well as stakes winners Rf Fast Dash N Jess and Mcm Fast Dashin Blue.

Luziana Man, ridden by Noe Castaneda and trained by Jose Espinosa, saw his win streak end with a second-place finish. The son of Dominyun has two wins from three starts and $55,912 in earnings.

Bred by Jerry West, Luziana Man is out of Jewels Fortune by First Down Jewel. Rosalio Espinosa purchased him for $13,500 at the LQHBA Yearling Sale.

Atta Boy Slim, under Federico Vargas, broke sharply but settled for third. The son of The Louisiana Cartel now has two wins and a third from three starts with $41,289 in earnings.

Out of Sassy Chic 3341 by Fast Prize Dash, Atta Boy Slim was bred by Wade Loup. Vann Haywood trains him for owner Emily Loup.

Rounding out the order of finish are: San Lorenzo Jezz, Wish U Were Whiskey, Louisiana Blood, Jess Pretty N Black, and Carters Cajun Queen.
