OSU Cowboy Attitude Wins Howard and Charlotte King Memorial at Rillito

TUCSON, AZ—MARCH 29, 2015—Rey Moreno's OSU Cowboy Attitude rolled to a half-length win over Shameless Shah in the $5,000 Howard and Charlotte King Memorial Stakes (not black-type) on Sunday at Rillito Park.

After getting away alertly under jockey Fernando Gamez, the Dash To Chivato 8-year-old took command then drew clear while completing the 870 yards in :45.760 seconds, a 98 speed index. The $ 2,570 winners purse boosted his career total to more than $82,500. He has compiled an (29) 8-1-3 record.

Shameless Shah is an Arizona bred son of Never Shamed (TB) out of the Blushing Bug mare Dpi Let It Ride. John Ashby saddled the gelding for owner Fernando Ortega, Jr. Joann Difillippo is the breeder and Jarrell James had the riding assignment.

Old Troubadour improved his position under jockey Matt Seifers to finish 1¼ lengths back in the show position. Brad Trego trains the son of Snowbound (TB) out of the Chicks Beduino mare Sum Chicks Fly. Owned by Jesus Olivas, Old Troubadour was bred in California by the James Azevedo and Boyles Trust.

Completing the field were Chocolate Caliente, Fire Creek, Leave It To Chance, At Last A Wildcat and Dashin Coverage.
