Drakarys led all first-crop sires by average sold at the 2026 TQHA Yearling Sale after six yearlings brought $220,000 in gross sales and averaged nearly $37,000.

SEGUIN, TX—AUGUST 2, 2026—Drakarys had a standout weekend at the 2026 TQHA Yearling Sale held July 24-25. The son of world champion sire Apollitical Jess led all first-crop sale sires by total and average sold.

Not only did he lead the first-crop sires with $220,000 in gross sales, but he also ranked among the top five leading sires overall by average, with six yearlings averaging nearly $37,000, and his top five averaged $42,000.

Five of Drakarys' six yearlings that sold include:
• Hip #34 Vermax — $29,000 to Tobasco Racing LLC
• Hip #63 Kranky — $53,000 to Rachuan Suarez
• Hip #71 Sunfyre — $48,000 to Rey Munoz
• Hip #233 Leviatan — $40,000 to Zane Kiehne
• Hip #378 Syrax — $40,000 to Tyler & Nia Graham

Drakarys' first foals will reach the racetrack in 2027. His fee for the upcoming breeding season has been set at $1,750.

Drakarys was himself a top-ten graduate of the 2022 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, where he sold for $270,000. He displayed exceptional speed potential, recording the fastest workout of the day on June 12, 2023, at Ruidoso Downs when he covered 220 yards in :11.19.

An injury in training prevented him from making a start, but his pedigree speaks for itself. He is by the industry's leading sire, Apollitical Jess, and out of the stakes-placed Lady Nayen SI 106 by Check Him Out, the dam of Flokie SI 96 ($711,819, Ed Burke Million Futurity-G1) and California King SI 101.

His second dam, Beat Your Pants Off SI 103, is an AQHA Dam of Distinction and producer of multiple champions, including Jumping Tac Flash and Carters Cartel. The female family also includes champions Splash Bac and Feature Mr Bojangles.
