SEGUIN, TX–JUNE 26, 2026–AQHA Racing Champion 3-Year-Old Colt Mystic Paint SI 103 ($353,958) will begin his stallion career at Haddad Ranch, where he will stand for a fee of $3,500. Considerations will be available for stakes winners and stakes-producing mares.
A son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon SI 107, Mystic Paint compiled an accomplished racing résumé while competing against some of the sport's top runners. His career was highlighted by earning the 2024 AQHA Racing Champion 3-Year-Old Colt title before retiring with six-figure earnings and multiple graded stakes placings.
His accomplishments on the racetrack include:

Beyond his black-type placings, Mystic Paint consistently qualified for some of Quarter Horse racing's most prestigious finals. He was a finalist in the AQHA Challenge Championship (G1), Debbie Schauf Remington Park Invitational Championship Stakes (G1), Leo Stakes (G1), Dee Raper Sooner State Stakes (G1), Lovington Stakes (G2), Mr Jet Moore Stakes (G2), Sam Houston Classic Stakes (G2), Remington Park Championship Challenge Stakes (G2), Black Gold Colts and Geldings Futurity, Remington Park Juvenile Stakes, Mr Master Bug Stakes, and Eastex Stakes (G2), further underscoring the consistency and durability he displayed throughout his career.

Mystic Paint is by Pyc Paint Your Wagon SI 107 ($889,582), one of the sport's top ten zall-time leading sires. The Grade 1 winner has sired 256 black-type horses and earners of more than $44.3 million, including champions Hooked N Gone SI 106 ($856,171), The Fiscal Cliff SI 109 ($580,425), and Curls Happy Wagon SI 103 ($360,674).
Pyc Paint Your Wagon has also become one of the industry's leading sires of sires through sons such as Freighttrain B, Im A Fancy Pyc, Lil Kool Wagon, and Pyc Fun N Fancy.
Proven Female Family
Mystic Paint is a half-brother to Ima Sixy Man SI 98 ($166,181). He is out of Jess So Sixy SI 101, a multiple stakes-winning daughter of Mr Jess Perry who earned more than $145,000 and was a finalist in major Grade 1 events including the All American Futurity and Rainbow Derby.
His second dam, Oh So Sixy SI 101, was a multiple stakes winner with earnings of $145,545) and proven stakes winning producer, including Jess So Sixy’s half-brother Oh So Daunting SI 109 ($335,973).
Mystic Paint enters stud with a strong pedigree and proven performance, making him an attractive option for breeders looking for speed and class. His first breeding will be offered for sale at the TQHA Yearling Sale, benefiting the Texas Quarter Horse Association Political Action Committee. It will be sold immediately prior to Friday's session.
