GUTHRIE, OK–JANUARY 5, 2026Unrelentless will enter the breeding shed in 2026 following a championship season on the racetrack, capped by the 2025 AQHA Champion Aged Stallion honors. Owned by Reliance Ranches, the multiple Grade 1 winner will stand his first season at stud at Lazy E Ranch for a fee of $2,500.

Bred in Oklahoma by Flag Ranch LLC, Unrelentless is out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Painted Wine Wagon SI 96 ($170,794). The son of Hes Relentless takes his background on the track with the support of a stakes producing female family into his first season at stud.

A Championship Season in 2025
As a four-year-old in 2025, Unrelentless delivered a campaign worthy of championship recognition. He captured the Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship Stakes (G1) and earned third-place finishes in both the Leo Stakes (G1) and the Champion of Champions (G1).

Trained by Eddie D. Willis, Albert Valles, and Kevin Willis, and ridden during the season by Eduardo Nicasio and Justine Klaiber, Unrelentless earned $148,475 in 2025 alone, which sealed his status as the division’s leading aged stallion in 2025. From 23 career starts, he compiled seven wins, four seconds, three thirds, and $495,702 in total earnings.

The Brad McKinzie: A Defining Performance
Unrelentless’ win in the $135,750 Brad McKinzie Los Alamitos Winter Championship (G1) was one of the most dramatic races of the season. In a stretch-long duel with defending champion London Toby, the two traded leads through the 400 yards before Unrelentless edged ahead by 4/1000ths of a second, stopping the clock in :19.568.

For Eddie Willis, the race was not so much a surprise as it was a validation of his beliefs over the years. He played a significant role in the purchase of Unrelentless for $200,000 at the 2022 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

“This is the only horse that I really wanted someone to buy,” Willis said. “I first went to see this horse at Flag Ranch when he was just a baby, and I knew then that I had to have him. I trained his mother as well, so I knew what kind of horse he could be.”

Willis said the decision at the sale was simple once Reliance Ranches asked him to name the one he wanted.

“At the sale, Gary (McKinney of Reliance Ranches) asked me to name one horse I wanted,” Willis said. “I told him that I wanted this horse… after thinking it over Gary went ahead and said, ‘Buy him.’”

Willis added. "I knew that he was the one. His mother was a nice little runner, and he was such a good-looking boy. To me, he was the total package."

Grade 1 Class to the Finish
Unrelentless didn’t earn his championship resume on one race. After his Brad McKinzie (G1) victory, he came back and proved it again with a third-place finish in the Leo Stakes (G1), holding his own against one of the season’s toughest sprint lineups at Remington Park

He backed that up with additional high-end form as a finalist in the Robert Boniface Los Alamitos Invitational Championship (G1), Go Man Go Handicap (G1), Debbie Schauf Remington Park Invitational Championship (G1), and the Mr Jet Moore Stakes (G2)–the kind of repeated top-class appearances that define a leading-aged stallion campaign.

His season ended with a third-place finish in the Champion of Champions (G1), finishing just a neck behind Jeriko and FDD Dreams after a determined late run. He posted a 99 speed index in 21.449 seconds, closing 2025 with yet another Grade 1 effort at the wire.

Stakes Success in 2024
Unrelentless entered 2025 with momentum already built. His final two starts of 2024 produced two stakes wins at Los Alamitos—the Town Policy Handicap and the A Ransom Handicap—each showing the same trait his connections praise most: he doesn’t quit.

After the Town Policy win, Klaiber summed him up in plain terms

“He broke a little slow and it was a little tight, but he prevailed and finished really strong,” she said. “He just powered through.”

That same grit showed again in the A Ransom Handicap when he ran down Political Rivalry late. “He likes the pressure,” Klaiber said. “He broke a little slow and had to work to get to the front, but once he had it, he just kept on going. He’s a really good horse with a lot of class and he’ll just keep getting better.”

During his three-year-old season, Unrelentless was also a finalist in the Rainbow Derby (G1), Heritage Place Derby (G2), and the All American Invitational Stakes, adding more top-tier depth to a performance that kept strengthening with age.

From Grade 1 Placed at Two to Champion at Four

Unrelentless showed top-level ability early. In 2023, he placed second in the Golden State Million Futurity (G1) and was a finalist in the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity (G1).

That Grade 1 form matured into Grade 1 winning ability and championship recognition by age four.

A Pedigree Backed By Champions And Graded Stakes Winners
Unrelentless’ success further elevates his sire Hes Relentless, who has emerged as a leading champion sire himself. From seven crops to race, Hes Relentless has sired over $21 million in earnings, 119 black-type horses (26%), 276 winners, and five champion titles, including Hes Judgeandjury SI 98 ($2,016,522), Dark Nme SI 110 ($1,739,485), and Relentless Eagle SI 104 ($351,703)

From a family of graded stakes winners, Unrelentless is the leading earner out of Grade 3 winner Painted Wine Wagon SI 96 ($170,794). His dam is a half-sister to multiple Grade 1 winner and new record setter Jess Good Wine SI 111 (2025, $801,663) and to stakes-placed winners Kiss My Wine SI 96 (2025, $117,122), Miss Perrys Tres SI 93 ($56,823, dam of stakes winner Perry Fast, 2025, $80,298).

Unrelentless’ second dam is All American Juvenile runner and multiple Grade 1 finalist Mr Perrys Wine SI 99 ($105,217), a full sister to Time For Wine SI 98 ($206,952) and half-sister to Grade 3 winner OnemoreglassofWine SI 97 ($118,065) and Grade 1 placed The Calling SI 106 ($274,294).

Unrelentless will stand his first season at stud at Lazy E Ranch for $2,500. For breeding information or contracts, contact Monty McNair, Lazy E Ranch manager, at 405-282-3437 or email ranchinfo@lazye.com.
