ANTHONY, NM–JULY 10, 2025–Rancho El Dorado proudly announces that two-time graded stakes winner Electrifying Cowboy will stand his first season at stud in Anthony, New Mexico. His introductory fee is set at $4,000, with considerations.
Bred in Texas by Paragon Farms, Electrifying Cowboy is owned by Tungsten Racing LLC and Ron Sugamosto. He is the only graded stakes-winning son of Flying Cowboy 123 standing at stud and is the highest money-earning colt by the standout sire.
Electrifying Cowboy compiled a strong record on the track, winning six of his ten starts. He kicked off his racing career in 2024 by winning his first out in the West Texas Futurity-G2 trials and qualified for the finals. He returned to take his Ruidoso Futurity-G1 trial next out, earning a place in the $1,000,000 final.
In the fall of 2024, he launched a four-race win streak, highlighted by posting the fastest qualifying time to the La Fiesta Futurity-G3 and returning to capture the finals. He followed that performance with a commanding win in the Southwest Juvenile Invitational Stakes-G2 at Zia Park.
Earlier this year, Electrifying Cowboy scored a win in his Ruidoso Derby trial heat. After that final victory and one more run in the Rainbow Derby trials, his connections decided to retire the Texas-bred colt to begin his stallion career.
His sire, Flying Cowboy 123, has dominated every crop to race. He shattered the All-Time Leading First Crop Sire record in 2023 with 50 winners and 17 stakes wins, nine of which were graded, and total progeny earnings exceeding $4.3 million.
He continued that momentum in 2024, breaking the record as All-Time Leading Second-Year Sire with 97 winners, 17 stakes wins—including five graded—and nearly $5.4 million in earnings, making him the only second-year sire to eclipse the $1 million mark that year.
In 2025, Flying Cowboy 123 now leads all third-year sires with over $3.2 million in earnings.
From just three crops to race, Flying Cowboy 123 has sired 193 winners and 63 black type horses from 341 starters, with total earnings over $13.1 million and average earnings per starter of $38,500.
Among Flying Cowboy’s top-performing offspring are Cowboys Gun Z SI 101, winner of the All American Futurity-G1 with over $1.59 million in earnings; Lethal Cowboy 123 SI 98, with over $1.27 million and wins in the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity-G1 and Golden State Million Futurity-G1; Flying Rabbit 123, a multiple stakes winner of $390,285 including the Southwest Juvenile Invitational S.-G2; and Fire Cowboy SI 106, with $387,697 and victories in the Evangeline Downs Futurity-G2, AQHA Juvenile Challenge Championship-G2, and Sam Houston Derby-G3.
Electrifying Cowboy is a full brother to stakes-placed runners Cowboy 123 ($110,156) and Flyn Electric Cowboy ($56,137), and a half-brother to Grade 3 winner Famous Carmilita ($56,244).
His dam is Grade 1 Ruidoso Derby finalist Corona Carmelita ($49,318), a full sister to All American Futurity-G1 finalist Love Samba ($184,182), dam of stakes winner Rockin Red Rhythm ($56,233), and to Darling Corona, dam of stakes winner El Tartanero Jess ($121,768). Corona Carmelita is also a half-sister to stakes winner Gallant Mystic ($90,965).
His second dam is a half-sister to two-time AQHA champion Dashin Is Easy ($775,123) and stakes winner Dashin Prince Henry ($178,046). Electrifying Cowboy’s third dam is a winning half-sister to Grade 3 winner Jody O Toole and to the dam of AQHA champion Eyesa Special ($1,394,911).
