TULSA, OK—JULY 18, 2026—Cuz Eyema Cowboy Baby turned back a determined stretch challenge from Gigis Gucci Glasses to score a neck victory in Saturday's $20,900 Masterpiece Derby for 3-year-old Paints and Appaloosas at Fair Meadows.

The sorrel gelding covered 350 yards in 17.661, earning a 97 speed index while banking the winner's share of $12,450 from the $20,300 purse.

Owned and bred in Oklahoma by Gary and Charity Hensley, Cuz Eyema Cowboy Baby is a 3-year-old son of leading Quarter Horse sire Flying Cowboy 123 out of Cuz Eyema Livewire, by CRM Livewire.

Trained by Jesus Ruben Ruiz and ridden by Rolando Raudales, the gelding broke sharply, dueled throughout, and held off the late bid from the runner-up to improve his career record to 6 wins from 13 starts. The victory boosted his lifetime bankroll to $100,976.

Gigis Gucci Glasses finished a game second, just a neck behind the winner and 2½ lengths clear of the rest of the field. The bay filly by world champion Painted Turnpike, from Sparketta by CRM Livewire, earned $4,270 for owners Kyle and Kellie Taylor. Bred in Oklahoma by the Taylors, she is trained by Matt Whitekiller and was ridden by Erik N. Esqueda. The runner-up effort increased her career earnings to $53,760.

River Flower rallied to secure third, finishing 2½ lengths behind the runner-up and a head in front of the fourth-place finisher. The brown filly is by Painted Turnpike out of Sister Rosie Bug, by CRM Livewire. Bred in Oklahoma by Bryan Hawk or Chuck Bowlan, she races for Judith Robles-Garcia, is conditioned by Luis Villafranco, and was piloted by Randy Vega. Her third-place check of $2,380 raised her lifetime earnings to $50,094.

The only other starter, Set On Cruise, finished fourth after chasing the early pace. Pretty Lil Poison was scratched as a stakes scratch, while Upshot was scratched by the veterinarian.
